Feel free to submit articles about:
- Your Games
Please include some images, links to your game in the various app stores and your site. Do not cut and paste marketing or sales text from other sites on here – game information & news must always be unique text. Be as detailed as you want to be, this isn’t just sharing with potential purchasers, this is also sharing with other developers. Don’t forget to include images, what platforms your game runs on (for video games), what type of game it is, reviews, links for where someone can purchase it, and anything else you can think of!
- Company / Group News
Have something cool coming up? Just did something awesome? Tell us about it – be sure to include applicable links so people can find out more? Also, just like with game info, don’t reuse existing marketing text – take a little extra time and create unique content.
Also, make sure your news is actually newsworthy. “I’m thinking of creating a game,” “Hey, I’m looking for a programmer, an artist, and a designer for my game” are not newsworthy articles.
- Upcoming Kickstarters / Crowd Source Funding Projects
Funding for games can be difficult, so we’re doing what we can to help get the word out for Kickstarter, IndieGoGo, and other crowd sourcing projects. Give us links, your goals, your deadline, some images, and anything else you can think of!
Never heard of game post-mortems before? It’s a way for game developers to share information about the game development process, and for everyone to help improve their chances of success. For post-mortems please include, if applicable, the following:
- Information about your team
- Information about your game
- What went right with development, release, and marketing?
- What went wrong with development, release, and marketing?
- What engine & technologies did you utilized?
- What would you do differently?
- Do you feel the project was a success? (Personally, commercially, etc.)
All news and articles submitted must be for companies, projects, and individuals in Kansas. Submitting news for other locations will result in the article being deleted, along with being blacklisted from the site. (Same goes for spam posts.)
